Obilet.com, founded in 2012, is an end-to-end travel ticketing application listing hundreds of bus operators, airlines and ferry companies. Obilet also provides bus operators with a best-in-class Inventory Management System (IMS) in the form of SaaS.
Obilet is the indisputable market leader in Turkey across both B2B and B2C segments with 400 bus carriers using its IMS software, 25 million monthly visitors, and 15 million app downloads.
Obilet is projected to further strengthen its position among the largest travel ticketing applications globally by mediating more than 40 million ticket sales in 2024. Obilet has expanded its category offerings to include hotel bookings and car rental services, and initiated its international expansion with the aim of achieving one of the largest global market coverage in the industry.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Strategy Director. In this pivotal role, you will lead and shape our corporate strategy, drive data-driven decision-making, and contribute to the overall growth and transformation of our organization.
Main responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Chief Strategy Officer for leading the department and helping team members grow
Developing and executing the company's overall corporate strategy
Acting as the PMO within the company; leading, coordinating and overseeing key projects and initiatives to ensure effective implementation and alignment with organizational goals.
Developing and monitoring a performance management system to optimize efficiency and motivation of the team.
Working closely with co-founders by assuming a strategic role with the responsibilities of a CEO Office Manager.
Designing and sustaining a data standardization framework, establishing data flow standards, creating dashboards, and automating reporting processes.
Collaborating with the Data & Business Intelligence team by providing inputs and instructions to optimize management reports, dashboards, and alarms
Job requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in a related senior role (Experience in consultancy or digital/tech companies is a plus)
A B.S./B.A. degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or another multi-disciplinary field from one of the top-tier universities
An M.S./MBA degree in a related field or an advanced professional certificate (e.g. CFA, PMP, Six Sigma) is an asset, showcasing your dedication to continuous learning and a track record of multi-tasking
Proven hands-on experience in M&A projects, performance measurement system development, and/or management of data collection and reporting systems will be a key differentiator among other candidates
Required skills:

Proven top-tier project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proactiveness, ownership, and a mindset that ensures tasks are completed strictly within the deadlines with the highest standards
Very high attention to details
Fluency in English and excellent command of Turkish, including flawless writing and grammar skills
